- Replaced Modem
- Routine Spring Maintenance, including:
- Weed-Control (removal and herbicide application)
- Ground Wire was cleaned.
- Datalogger battery was replaced. Exisiting battery
was weak and unable to hold a strong change during
the overnight hours which lead to some loss of data.
- General station maintenance and system checks, including:
- Tipping-bucket rain gauge test (faulty pcpn data
that was introduced was removed on 06/08/09)
- Loaded MAWN Program - ABCF (hourly power cycle) [0003]
- Replaced Data Logger
- Loaded MAWN Program ABCW (3-hour power cycle)
- Some clock issues on the datalogger lead to several
entries that were marked with faulty timestamps.
The data entries during the following time period
needed to be removed (including incomplete hourly
and daily records associated with the last time in
the period:
10/25/08 (d=298) 03:10 - 10/28/08 (d=302) 09:05
- General station maintenance and system checks, including:
- Soil Moisture sensors now installed vertically:
- MSTR 0: profile of depth = 0 - 12"
- MSTR 1: profile of depth = 12 - 24"
- Work was done approx: 0900 - 0940 (Day=150)
- Marked Temp/RH as "missing" during the following
time period:
02/05/08 (d=036) 00:05 - 04/25/08 (d=116) 10:40
- Replaced HMP45C (Temp/RH). [10:45]
- Loaded MAWN Program: MAWN_ABCF (hourly power cycle) [00:05]
- Loaded New MAWN Program.
- Battery was running low and program eventually dumped
from memory. Was able to connect at 17:20 today and
reset the logger clock and loaded MAWN Program "ABCW"
which sets the logger on a 3-hr power cycle.
- Sensor Replacement:
- Replaced old CS615 Soil Moisture sensors with new CS616
sensors (both Mstr0 and Mstr1).
- Datalogger Program Modification:
- Replaced Modem (Verizon with Alltel)
- Datalogger progam "mawn_abcs" loaded and compiled.

- Work was done approx: 14:10 - 14:35 (Day=158)
- Loaded MAWN Program: MAWN_AACF (00:05)
- Installed direction antenna for the cell-modem. Hopefully,
this will correct some of the communication troubles that
we have experienced with this station since it was converted
to Cell-IP. Will have to continue to monitor.
- Loaded MAWN Program: AACS (hourly voltage)
- Communication converted to broadband cell-modem:
- Broadband Cell modem installed.
- Datalogger Program "mawn_bacs" Loaded and Compiled
