msukbs — Maintenance Reports

07/26/2023: Station Maintenance [1415]

- repaired faulty tipping-bucket rain gauge

- faulty air temperature sensor was replaced

- checked to ensure that both soil temperature sensors

are available.

- The 10-m wind speed appears to be unavailable since

11/03/2010 11:00. Wind sensors were replaced on

11/10/10, but some new cabling is still needed.

- Have encountered a problem with the "daily reports"

during Daylight-Savings Time. Until this problem

is resolved, only "hourly" and "five-minute" data

will be available.

- With the help of KBS, modification to calculation of

the hourly data was applied. Needed to download the

updated files and reload into the MAWN database.

- Station added to MAWN web site.

- Data Collection and Data Archive for new station begins:

First data report: Dec 01, 2007 - 00:05 (Day=335)

- Final Testing of automated data-collection and data-format

changes (with the help of Sven Bohn from KBS).

- Should now able to collect raw weather data in proper format.

Fall 2007: New Station Retro-Fitted for MAWN Network (sm):

Notes:

Will not be able to current wind data. Sensor at

MSUKBS is installed at 10-m. MAWN Network requires

wind data at 3-m.

Soil Moisture Data reported at slightly different

depths:

MSTR0: KBS (5cm) MAWN (10cm)

MSTR1: KBS (20cm) MAWN (25cm)
